Days 1–30: the rebuild
Profile rebuilt, site issues fixed, citations cleaned, tracking wired up, review system installed. Rankings barely move - Google needs time to re-evaluate. The wins this month are internal: you can finally see your real baseline.
Days 31–60: first movement
Long-tail terms start responding - the low-competition searches move first. Photos and posts accumulate. You might crack page 1 for a secondary service. Not phone-ringing-off-the-hook yet, but the trajectory is visible in the report.
Days 61–90: the shift
This is where my clients typically hit their first Map Pack appearances and see call volume clearly above baseline. Ridgeline HVAC hit Top 3 for their primary terms at the 90-day mark. This is also when the 90-day promise gets tested - measurable improvement by here, or month four is free.
Months 4–6: the compound
Content published in month 1 has aged into authority. Review velocity is steady. Service-area pages start surfacing for neighboring towns. Month 4 looks nothing like month 1 - this is the phase where local SEO stops costing money and starts making it. Clearwater went from zero to 15+ ranking keywords inside this window.
Month 6 and beyond
Maintenance gets cheaper than the build. The moat deepens: competitors would now need months to catch up to what you've compounded. The businesses that win long-term are simply the ones who never stopped.
What makes it faster or slower
- Faster: existing reviews, some site history, low local competition, quick content approvals
- Slower: brand-new business, suspended profile, dense metro competition, sitting on your approvals
