Emergency plumber marketing: where the calls actually come from.

A burst pipe at 2AM is the highest-intent search in all of local business. Nobody comparison-shops a flood. They call whoever they see first. Here's how to be first.

Own "emergency plumber near me" in the Map Pack

Emergency terms need to be explicit everywhere: a dedicated "Emergency Plumbing" service on your profile, "24/7 emergency plumbing" in your description and posts, and an emergency page on your site with that exact language in the title tag. Google matches explicit intent - hoping it infers you're 24/7 doesn't work.

Speed is the whole game at 2AM

A panicked homeowner on a phone with wet socks gives your site about three seconds. If it's still loading, they've called the next plumber. Compress images, kill popup nonsense, and make the phone number a giant tappable button above the fold. Test your site on your own phone right now, on mobile data, not wifi.

The 2AM test

  • Google "emergency plumber [your city]" in an incognito window - are you in the Map Pack?
  • Click your own listing - does the call button work instantly?
  • Load your homepage on mobile data - under 3 seconds?
  • Does someone answer, or does voicemail eat the lead?

Fail any one of those and you're paying for visibility you can't collect on.

Reviews mention emergencies back

When reviews say "came out at midnight" and "saved our basement," Google associates your profile with emergency service. Prompt reviewers with "What was the situation we helped you with?" - the language of your reviews becomes the language of your rankings.

Real example

From zero visibility to 15+ ranking keywords.

Clearwater Plumbing had no website at all. Four months later: 15+ ranking keywords, a site built as part of the engagement, and the first Google-sourced job paid for the whole year.
